Routine maintenance will save your tools from needing costly repairs.

Hydraulic Jacks
If you have a jack that you only use occasionally, you need to operate the
jack a least once a month so that the seals do not harden. This could save
you a repair bill of $75 to $300.

Air Tools
You need to flush your air tool at least twice a week if you use it every day or
after each use if it is used infrequently.

To flush a tool, fill the tool with about 1 ounce of air tool oil. Plug the air
supply in and run the tool. This will oil all parts in the tool that need to be oiled. The process also helps flush out any dirt, which, if not removed, can act as sandpaper to the tool. Following this procedure can save you a repair bill of $30 to $400.
